Normalized Weighting Schemes for Image Interpolation Algorithms

چکیده
Image interpolation algorithms pervade many modern image processing and analysis applications. However, when their weighting schemes inefficiently generate very unrealistic estimates, they may negatively affect the performance of end-user Therefore, in this work, author introduced four based on some geometric shapes for digital operations. Moreover, quantity used to express extent each shape’s weight was normalized area, especially sums areas exceeded a unit square size. The are minimum side-based diameter (MD) regular tetragon, hypotenuse-based radius (HR), virtual pixel length-based height area triangle (AT), length circle (AC). At smaller scaling ratio, algorithm HR scheme scored highest at 66.6% among non-traditional presented. higher AC scheme-based presented, and, here, its quality generally superior or comparable images interpolated by both traditional algorithms.

New adaptive interpolation schemes for efficient meshbased motion estimation
Motion estimation and compensation is an essential part of existing video coding systems. The mesh-based motion estimation (MME) produces smoother motion field, better subjective quality (free from blocking artifacts), and higher peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) in many cases, especially at low bitrate video communications, compared to the conventional block matching algorithm (BMA). Howev...
متن کاملFrom Text to Images: Weighting Schemes for Image Retrieval
Bags of visual words are the most studied image description technique in the last years. This representation of images raised new possibilities as well as new research issues. In particular, it is important to automatically determine which visual words are the most relevant to describe the images, and which ones should be ignored. This issue is a classical problem of textual information retriev...
متن کاملAnalysis of Linear Interpolation Schemes for Bi-Level Image Applications
In the ofice. it is often ecessary to scan a picture at a certain resolution and then reproduce it at a different (usually higher) resolution. This conversion can be achieved by interpolating the scanned signal between the sample intervals. This paper discusses a class of linear interpolating methods based on resampling polynomial functions. In addition, we introduce new methods to compare the ...
متن کاملPatch-based Image Interpolation: Algorithms and Applications
Motivated by recent advances in adaptive sparse representations and nonlocal image modeling, we propose a patch-based image interpolation algorithm under a set theoretic framework. Our algorithm alternates the projection onto two convex sets: one is given by the observation data and the other defined by a sparsity-based nonlocal prior similar to BM3D. In order to optimize the design of observat...
متن کاملEvaluation of Different Image Interpolation Algorithms
Interpolation is the process of transferring image from one resolution to another without losing image quality. In Image processing field, image interpolation is very important function for doing zooming, enhancement of image, resizing any many more. Here in this paper, we have reviewed different interpolation algorithms. We have implemented all reviewed interpolation algorithms and done compar...
